Healthy Nurses 2008

For those of you interested in running together, Christmas break is a great time to build a foundation. We had one good run together at the end of this semester, but next semester we will be following a schedule and preparing for some fun races. Here are a few I found:

December 31 at 11:30 pm is the 30TH ANNUAL BEAT THE NEW YEAR 5K RUN at Sugarhouse Park. Should be fun! Registration costs $20 and ends Dec. 19 so decide soon if you want to participate. Check out the website: http://www.slctrackclub.org.

30TH ANNUAL 30K WINTER RUNNING SERIES:
Organized by Salt Lake City Track Club, this 3-race series includes a 5K, 10K and 15K. $40 gets you a spot in three races: 5K-January 26, 10K-February 9, 15K-February 23, 2008. Check out the website: http://www.slctrackclub.org.

Then, before finals come around again, let's shoot for participation in the Salt Lake City Marathon, April 19th. This has a 10k, half marathon, marathon, and bike tour (26.2 miles). The great thing about this is that all proceeds go to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Perfect for a nursing student: bring better health to yourself and someone else. www.saltlakecitymarathon.com.
